Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for supervising, coordinating, training, and developing one or more groups on our 1st shift that are engaged in receipt, warehousing, order filling, packing, shipping, or processing of Schneider Electric products. Supervises, organizes, and assigns work to ensure it is completed in accordance with internally established procedures, good management practices, safety, and quality.

What will you do?
  • Supervise, coordinate, and participate in receiving, storage, packing, and order fulfillment operations requiring knowledge of material logistics processes, internal inventory systems, value add services, and production/order requirements.
  • Drive engagement of your team through teamwork, well-being, collaboration and understanding
  • Organize and assign work on a particular shift to utilize available skills, knowledge and experience, labor hours, machines, and tools to the best advantage to obtain the most favorable costs, order accuracy, and cycle to our customers.
  • Share regular training, instruction, and guidance.
  • Monitor and interpret logistics performance, cost, quality to evaluate efficiency, and continuously improve.
  • Manage staffing, performance management (including performance evaluations, coaching and disciplinary actions), task delegation, project delegation, work planning and head-count management including departmental approved time off policies.
  • Assistance might be required occasional weekends
  • Guide your team in safety, health, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prior experience with ERP systems. SAP preferred.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to independently execute company strategies.
  • Ability to communicate with empathy in a straightforward manner.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both management and employees.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Degree preferred, not required. Equivalent experience and skills can be substituted for education.
  • Have at least 3-5 years of warehouse experience.
