SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to students, including conducting assessments, providing counseling, and supporting the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs). You will collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to address a wide range of academic, behavioral, and emotional needs in the school setting.
*Conduct psycho-educational assessments to evaluate student learning and emotional needs.
*Provide direct counseling services to students dealing with behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges.
*Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement strategies to support students.
*Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide guidance for special education services.
*Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
*Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student assessments, interventions, and communications.
*Educate staff and parents on mental health issues, learning disabilities, and effective interventions.
*Support the school's overall mental health and well-being initiatives.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
*Active and current School Psychologist License in Washington, DC, Virginia, or Maryland.
*Department of Health (DOH) Certification required.
*Proven experience in providing psychological services in a school setting.
*Strong knowledge of child development, learning processes, and psychological assessments.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
*Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
*Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students' mental and emotional well-being.
*Familiarity with educational law, special education processes, and student accommodations.
*Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
*Experience with trauma-informed practices and crisis intervention.
