Job Description
We are seeking elite recruits for Field Engineer positions. Our unofficial motto is "Attitude is Everything!", so if you've got a great one, we can train you on nearly all the rest. So, if you hate being stuck inside every day, love to travel, and want to the freedom to decide how much you want to earn every week...this may be the job for you!
The role of a Field Engineer in Telecommunications is to gather critical field data for communications networks and communicate that field data to our clients in a variety of ways, including through digital maps, notes, forms and digital software applications. It sounds complicated, but it's not.
Field Engineers are akin to land surveyors and we use a variety of similar tools, including measuring wheels, height measuring sticks, distance measuring lasers, underground locators and more. Most of the work we perform is done in an outside environment, with much of our time spent observing and recording information directly in the field. Travel is a key part of our line of work, as we are going to where network providers need to gather information about their systems for the purposes of upgrading or building new networks in those areas. While we typically stay within the continental U.S., projects have already taken us as far away as the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico in the past, and will undoubtedly offer opportunities around the world as the demand for these services continues rise over the coming years. Although Telecommunications Engineering is a highly specialized field, it draws upon a variety of basic skill-sets that you may already possess, including visual observation/detection, problem/puzzle solving, drawing, basic math and more. The opportunity to earn more increases with your willingness to be diligent in learning and applying yourself in your work while traveling. This is not a "9-5" job, it truly is an adventure! You will see and experience more of the areas in which you travel for work than the people who live there. This offers not only opportunity to learn about the networks we document, but also about the people and places where we are traveling. We currently have training classes available for January , 2024. Therefore we are looking for recruits to start immediately on a projects across the United States. If you are selected, we will train you on each new type of work you are asked to do, and can provide all specialized equipment necessary to perform the task. Required Knowledge and Skills:We look forward to meeting you soon!
