• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs)\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 3, 2024 – September 2, 2024)\n
• Schedule: Day shift, Monday – Friday (no holidays)\n
• Hours: 40 hours per week\n
• Shifts: 5 shifts per week, 8 hour shifts\n
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Medical Office Building\n
• No on-call requirements \n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,510 - $1,620\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State\n
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience\n
• Strong organizational and communication skills\n
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team\n
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new clinical skills in an outpatient environment\n

\n\nMed/Surg RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Schedule and coordinate procedures (Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Kidney Biopsies) and obtain prior authorizations\n
• Manage outpatient infusions (IV iron, blood transfusions, IV fluids, and more)\n
• Assist with in-office procedures, including TDC removal\n
• Communicate lab results and coordinate patient follow-up care\n
• Facilitate patient referrals (e.g., Davita/Fresenius) and provide patient education (Kidney Smart training)\n
• Arrange genetic testing and medication prior authorizations\n
• Set up venous mapping and support continuity of care for patients\n
