Job Description

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Now is an exciting time to join Netflix Games as we scale our mobile business with hit titles like Black Mirror: Thronglets and Squid Game: Unleashed, and introduce games to our members on TV around the world. This is an incredible opportunity to drive a slate of developer tools for our cloud and on-device games platforms as we grow our “Games on TV” product from a regional beta to a global offering.

As the Product Manager: Games Developer Tools, you will drive the creation of exceptional experiences for developers making games for our platforms. You will champion the developer experience, ensuring that internal and external game developers worldwide can develop, test, and release their games to our TV platforms. This role combines product management with game developer advocacy as we build out our tooling solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • As the voice of the developer within the product team, independently identify opportunities to advance the developer experience around building, testing, and releasing games for TV, while building consensus around a roadmap that achieves Netflix’s business goals.
  • Motivate and partner with business leads, designers, program managers, and engineering teams to design, plan, develop, and launch new features or tools.
  • Be a domain expert that can collaborate with product managers throughout the organization whose work touches the games product and the developer tools ecosystem.
  • Partner with tooling and enablement teams across Netflix to identify and leverage common building blocks.
  • Understand internal and external stakeholder needs to drive roadmap and feature development.
  • Work with Data Science to define KPIs that enable data-driven decision-making on the roadmap and overall future of the product.
  • Define, support, and deliver innovative and intuitive developer experiences and features that reduce the friction of bringing games to TV on Netflix.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful launch execution, learning, and adoption.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or related business areas, with direct experience working on developer needs
  • A passion for enhancing the developer experience through data-driven insights and user feedback, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into intuitive and engaging solutions.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and lead complex and highly impactful cross-functional projects from concept to completion
  • Technical background or strong understanding of technical systems & platforms and the ability to communicate with and challenge both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ambitious self-starter who deals well with ambiguity and a fast paced, multiple project environment
  • A history of achieving product outcomes through user testing and data driven decision making.
  • Experience translating UX testing and feedback into impactful new features
  • Have a passion for the digital gaming space

Location: West Coast, with some travel to Los Angeles or Los Gatos, CA as needed
