Description Are you mission focused and ready to be with a team that truly values your contributions? We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer professional to join our team. Responsible for preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents related to software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user guides. The role involves writing and editing technical documentation for project hardware and software, which includes instructions on installation, configuration, and usage. Additionally, the individual creates code documentation, implementation guides, end-user guides, and manages the formatting of technical publications using various resources and consultations with technical personnel.
Requirements - Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operational documentation, user guides, manuals, and other technical publications.
- Understand and apply basic grammar and technical writing concepts for various types of documents.
- Gather technical information to prepare accurate and clear written text, working closely with developers to ensure high-quality documentation and training materials.
- Maintain and update an internal documentation library to ensure accessibility and relevance.
- Utilize various word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to create and format documents.
- Engage in all phases of the documentation process, from initial preparation to final editing and layout design.
- Prepare detailed reports, responses, and briefings tailored to diverse audiences, coordinating the overall layout and design of documents.
- Two (2) years experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
