Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS like Ubuntu, CentOS & Red Hat and Windows OS 2016/2019/2022.
• 5 years of experience is needed to ensure that the Systems Administrator has the necessary experience to manage and maintain the organization's systems.
• Atleast 4 years of experience in scripting is needed to automate tasks and improve efficiency using scripting languages.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure and networking concepts is needed to understand organization network and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP and to ensure smooth operation of a company's computer systems.
• Experience in Operating systems is needed to manage operating systems such as Linux, Unix and Windows.
• Experience in problem-solving is needed to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Routine system maintenance and upgrade skills are needed to ensure that the systems are up-to-date and optimally.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and vendors effectively.
• Basic Knowledge of Networks and configuration, Cloud Technologies (Azure and/or AWS), Databases would be good to have.
Responsibilities
• Providing support in software installations, patching, upgrades and configuration of lab workstations & servers as per users and applications requirements.
• Troubleshoots issues and resolves technical problems by identifying problems and taking steps to resolve them.
• Automate the tasks using PowerShell, Python, Batch scripting and Shell scripting based on the environment, compatibility, and the requirements of the users.
• Provides technical support needed by responding to user inquiries, resolving technical problems.
• Recommends new hardware and software solutions that meet the organization and application’s needs by researching and staying informed about current trends and technologies, capable of adapting fast to new technologies.
• Should be able to handle business-critical IT tasks and systems with less supervision.
• Handling and troubleshooting platform related issues (Windows and Linux/Unix) and providing solutions or work arounds.
