Job Summary

SUMMIT Early Learning, Inc. is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management within the early childhood education sector. The intern will work closely with our communications and marketing team to enhance SUMMIT Early Learning's online presence and support our outreach efforts.

Specific Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

* Develop, schedule, and publish content across SUMMIT Early Learning's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

* Create engaging posts that align with our mission, values, and ongoing programs.

* Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments, and interact with our online community.

Content Creation:

* Design and produce visual and written content for social media, email newsletters, and promotional materials.

* Assist in creating video content that highlights our programs, events, and success stories.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Creative thinker.

* Good communication skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.

* Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices preferred.

* Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

* Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp) is preferred.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

Learning Objectives

* Learn how to craft and execute a social media plan that reflects SUMMIT Early Learning's mission, effectively engaging with parents, educators, and the broader community on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

* Develop skills in creating and scheduling content, fostering online interactions, and analyzing engagement to inform future strategies.

* Gain expertise in producing and designing digital content, including graphics, videos, and written materials, to communicate key messages and program highlights effectively.

* Experiment with various design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually compelling content that resonates with target audiences.

Education

First year, Sophomore, Juniors and Seniors.

All Majors. Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.

Experience

No experience required, but a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting our mission is preferred.

Location

This position consists of a combination of onsite work at SUMMIT Early Learning, Inc. and remote work which can be completed on SU campus
