We are searching for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - AI/ML Engineering possessing a minimum of 7 years of experience. The suitable candidate should deeply comprehend AI/ML solutions and possess preferential experience with Large Language Models (LLMs). The selected candidate will be accountable for designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated AI/ML solutions to optimize clinical and pre-clinical AI research.

The Opportunity:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI/ML algorithms, models, and systems, with a focus on Large Language Models.
  • Examine complex datasets and apply interpretation and analysis to support clinical and pre-clinical research projects.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity throughout all stages of data acquisition and processing, including sourcing, extraction, cleaning, harmonization, and integration.
  • Translate data-driven insights into improvements for clinical and pre-clinical processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Advance and refine the current data architecture to better support the needs of the research department.
  • Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies in all phases of the iterative development process.
  • Identify emerging technology trends in data science and steer the business toward their assimilation.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers on the team, fostering a learning environment and promoting professional development.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data/ML/AI Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience in AI/ML solutions, with preference for those with expertise in Large Language Models.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, and Data Warehousing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
  • Firm understanding of database structure principles.
  • Proven experience in gathering and analyzing system requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Problem-solving attitude with a keen attention to detail.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics or a related field, or significant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the Healthcare or Biotech industry.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $168,600 - $313,000 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
