Position Overview

The Senior Brand Merchandising Manager will assist senior leadership in developing, executing, and communicating a product strategy that meets or exceeds financial goals and global product strategy.  As the driver of the produce strategy, you will work closely with your cross functional partner using consumer insights, market data and historical business performance to bring product to market.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Merchandising:

  • Develop and partner with the Home Merchandising team to build the seasonal global line plans.
  • Create seasonal category strategies inclusive of style and SKU plans, ensuring alignment to global brand strategy and LRP targets.
  • Directly partner with regional Buying partners in combination with trend driven market research to anticipate the needs of the business and identifying category opportunity.
  • Share and present back to design partners to influence seasonal development.
  • Facilitate weekly cross-functional team meetings, driving product category and managing changes. Attend Design meetings. 
  • Directly manage seasonal launch OK to BUY process.
  • Manage the creation and daily maintenance of data in GFE; including accurate & timely data entry & system updates for all merchandising item definition and line changes; ensuring all cross-functional teams are in alignment.
  • Communicate and distribute all critical merchandising information to key functional areas on a timely basis.
  • Presentation of line assortment to direct cross functional partners at the time of adoption and line opening presentations.
  • Knowledge of competition and trends, identifying new opportunities appropriate for brand.
  • High level of understanding of the home competitive landscape. Prepare and present quarterly trend market research shopping the competition regularly to understand trends and pricing
  • Ensure adherence to product category’s calendar milestones, line development and update status. Drive and optimize weekly operations to calendar deadlines  
  • Responsible for document creation and maintenance, ad hoc projects as they arise; line lists, adoption, line review, regional sample review and line opening materials.

Licensing:

  • Day to day management of licensee.
  • Ability to read, interpret and advise on contracts and contractual obligations/terms.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly business review with licensed partner.
  • Review and advise on licensee financial projections and plans and corresponding sales strategy.
  • Work with licensee on distribution strategies to support financial goals and drive brand presentation; liaise with cross-functional teams to support visual merchandising in wholesale markets.

  • Strong merchandising experience in Home preferred.
  • Strong analytical and retail math skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and accurate.
  • Creative problem solver with a solution-driven approach. Innate critical thinker.
  • Resourceful, efficient, and able to take initiative.
  • Priority and time management. Ability to juggle multiple seasons and daily priorities.
  • Computer Skills:  Proficiency in MS Office applications, Retail Math, Adobe XD, and systems knowledge (GFE+).
