Job Description

Summary:

The Safety Co-ordinator oversees all safety operations across the GC, self-perform and development sectors ensuring full compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. This role leads the development and implementation of safety policies, promotes a strong safety culture, and mitigates risk across job sites. The position reports to the Safety Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce safety programs aligned with construction regulations and company goals.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local safety standards.
• Conduct site audits, lead incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze safety metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts.
• Train and mentor project-level safety staff and superintendents.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
• Report key safety data and trends to executive leadership.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in construction safety
• CSP, CHST, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Deep knowledge of construction-specific OSHA standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.
• Experience managing safety on multi-site or large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
