Job Description

Overview: Join a compassionate healthcare team providing essential patient care in a medical telemetry behavioral health setting during night shifts. This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, observing and reporting changes in condition, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
• Provide direct patient care or communicate patient needs to appropriate staff.
• Support nursing care plans by performing delegated tasks.
• Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain stocked and clean patient areas.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience and Skills:

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under supervision within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility with work tasks and schedules.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work variable shifts, including nights.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning.
• Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.
• Exposure to blood and body fluids with appropriate precautions.
