PC TECHNICIAN - Monroe, LA (6 Month Contract) Monday-Friday: 8-5 Description: Our TEKsystems. client - headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, serves patients across Louisiana and Mississippi through a network of hospitals, clinics, physicians, elderly housing and integrated information systems. Their hospital facility in Monroe, LA is looking to hire 1 PC Tech contract resource for a 6 month term to help with hardware deployments & refreshes. They will be refreshing some thin clients with new hardware, along with other pc upgrades and may also use the extra help for some new equipment installs for various clinics, etc. The tech will be responsible for traveling to new clinic sites and installing new hardware at each clinic location. All other clinics are within 20 miles and they will reimburse business miles away. They also need to replace some VDI, PCs and thin clients that are not compatible with Win11. They will need to image machines and install applications using SCCM. Technical environment: Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, PC’s, thin clients, printers, barcode scanners, etc. The techs will be required to unbox equipment, image using Microsoft SCCM or a pixy boot, install new hardware, perform cable management, asset tagging, scan barcodes and update documentation, decommission old hardware, etc. The manager would like someone who has not just solely focused on hardware installation, and is looking for candidates with troubleshooting experience. Will pair them with someone who can provide training and direction. Currently a team of 6, but they have 2 FTE openings and are looking to add 1 contractor. These techs can be considered for full time employment after the 6 months, but will be performance based and not guaranteed. The techs will need to communicate well and explain to physicians and nurses why they are there are what they are doing. Reliable Transportation The manager put a heavy emphasis on good customer service, good communication, and being able to work independently on assigned tasks. This person should be able to communicate progress or if they are falling behind. They want someone that can represent themselves well in healthcare environment.
