JOB TITLE: Marketing Intern

REPORTS TO: Sr. Director of Marketing CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Marketing LEVEL: Administrative Support Worker

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Marketing Intern will gain exposure to multiple facets of the Marketing Mix through support, planning and execution of initiatives. 6-8 month internship length depending on class and work schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit restaurant execution of test products and as needed, engage consumers via surveys to validate buyer reaction.
  • Supplement brand and agency social content creation efforts by planning, communicating and executing social content in restaurants.
  • Supplement brand social media engagement through community management and customer recovery.
  • Support PR and Influencer Marketing efforts through restaurants communication and coordination to aid in execution and ensure brand standards are met.
  • Supplement CRM/Loyalty efforts through execution of Punchh campaigns.
  • Ad Hoc Marketing team initiative support including analysis, initiative participation management, event execution and communication.

  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and provide information in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. The candidate must have a high degree of computer literacy and can easily learn to use new software with minimal guidance.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple projects with ever-shifting priorities.
  • Able to drive to local restaurants with own transportation, drivers license and insurance.
  • Up to 50% Travel to restaurants and time spent in restaurants
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree In Progress

 

WORKING ENVIORNMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a marketing department job, primarily office and franchisee and/or restaurant manager contact.
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and walking (up to 8 hours at a time); bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 15 pounds).
  • When visiting restaurant locations, the Marketing Intern must adhere to the restaurant dress code policy, inclusive of wearing non-slip shoes.
