Well-established plastics manufacturing company looking to hire an Injection Process/Set-up Technician who would be responsible for all facets of a 1-shift custom Injection molding department. .
Job Title: Injection Process/Set-up Technician/Operator
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: Based on candidate's qualifications (Starting range listed), Monday-Thursday 40.00 Hours per week (YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A LONG WEEKEND!)
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Etobicoke, Ontario (near Pearson Airport)
Skill Requirements:
Experience: minimum of 3-5 years
Languages: Speak, Read & Write in English
Key performance objectives:
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work on your own and with others.
Must be able to perform mould changeovers, monitor machine operation, troubleshoot & correct problems, and fine tune the process parameters for quality and productivity within allowable limits.
Monitors machine down-time, scrap, and product quality ensuring all processes are optimised to achieve process efficiency and reduction of scrap
Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment all while following safe work practices
Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of experience with old and new injection molding machines, as well as experience driving forklifts. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills are a must! In this position, a candidate with a positive attitude and excellent attendance record will succeed.
