Job Description

STS Technical Services is hiring a skilled HVLP to join our team in Georgetown, Kentucky . In this role, you will apply high-quality paint finishes to vehicles and heavy equipment , ensuring all specifications are met to the highest standard. If you have strong painting experience in automotive or industrial settings, we encourage you to apply!

• Prime, paint, and touch-up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
• Mask and unmask parts to meet specifications; sand, wash, and condition surfaces as needed.
• Conduct light bodywork and repairs as necessary.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble paint equipment such as spray guns, pumps, and tanks.
• Flush tanks and equipment during color changeovers .
• Mix paints to the correct color, viscosity, and consistency, adjusting chemicals as needed.
• Apply decals, stencils, and rustproofing.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect product throughout the painting process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Move parts and assemblies between stages of the painting process using forklifts or other material handling equipment.

• 2-3 years of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills .

• 3+ years of painting experience in automotive , manufacturing , or industrial body shops.
• Experience with powder coating is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues with minimal supervision.
