Job description We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our sales and marketing efforts at Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport by Marriott. We are looking for a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and have a proven track record of driving revenue growth in the hospitality industry. Job Summary: As Director of Sales and Marketing you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive revenue, increase room nights, and hotel awareness within the market. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive occupancy, increase average rates, increase food and beverages, and banquets sales goals to maximize profitability. Foster relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners to promote the hotel's services and facilities. Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients for group bookings, conferences and events. Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue from existing accounts. Help prepare the departmental budget and financial plans including the hotel's marketing plan to hit all personal and team sales goals and targets. Monitor expenses and revenue performance against budget. Produce monthly reports and sales forecast to analyze current and potential markets and sales trends; coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share; and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan. Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the market area to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotel. Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns and engaging content to enhance the hotel's visibility across various platforms. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and market demand to make informed business decisions. Review market trends in order to attain growth in RevPAR. Manage, monitor and maintain social media for hotel and restaurant on an ongoing basis. Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business to increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel. Lead, inspire, train and manage the sales colleagues to achieve their individual and collective team goals according to standards, and ensure they have the tools needed to work effectively. Ensure that you and your team have completed company or brand required training. Continuously work with the sales team to improve their performance through coaching and feedback; create performance and development goals for the team and recognize good performance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to ensure team success and connect with other departments to create a sense of one team. Coordinate activities with other hotel departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction. Respond and respond to customer communications, resolve customer feedback and anticipate potential issues by reviewing and monitoring business flow to ensure high level customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing, preferably in a leadership position.
