About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy Chief Medical Officer to play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and communication of the organization's medical strategies, care standards, and policies. This executive leader will be at the forefront of the company's transformation, providing medical oversight to ensure a commitment to high-quality patient care across various populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for making decisions that prioritize the needs of members, providers, brokers, and employers, as well as offering strategic medical and clinical input on a range of organizational decisions. Additionally, the Deputy CMO will manage and drive medical policies and guidelines for all lines of business, ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements. Applicants for the Deputy Chief Medical Officer position at the company must hold a medical degree (MD or DO) with post-graduate training, board certification, and an active medical license. A minimum of 10 years' of medical management experience, including at least three years in a senior leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in health insurance, with a preference for those who have worked with government programs, and a background in an integrated healthcare system. Clinical practice experience of at least three years and a preference for those with experience in managed healthcare are also part of the essential qualifications for this role.
