We are representing a leading, industrial, full service engineering firm that is searching for a Field Service Engineer in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area.

Requirements:

• 4-year BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or BS Mechanical Engineering or BS degree in Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 2 to 12 years' experience in the industrial, mechanical field work.
• Experience and knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical systems such as mechanical drives, power transmission, bearings, equipment alignment, bolted connections, welding, wire ropes, sheaves, gearing, etc.
• The field technician’s core responsibility is to provide on-site technical supervision of the installation or repair of equipment. The field technician will also provide support for mechanical inspections, shop inspections, spare parts, and aftermarket.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and structural detail drawings.
• Familiar with the use of technical measuring equipment and an understanding of manufacturing tolerances.
• Travel up to 60% for onsite job installations, inspections, field measuring, etc.
• Use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
