The Department of Exercise Science at Shenandoah University seeks qualified adjunct instructors.

The College of Arts and Sciences at Shenandoah University, a private, comprehensive university located 70 miles northwest of Washington, D.C., is seeking to build a pool of persons qualified to teach within the Department of Exercise Science.

The Exercise Science Department at Shenandoah University is a growing program within the College of Arts & Sciences and works closely with graduate health professions programs such as Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. The Department emphasizes critical thinking, written communication skills, and application of theory and research for evidenced-based practice. The Department continues to improve laboratory space and resources in order to promote experiential learning and student research opportunities.

Primary responsibilities of the adjunct position includes teaching undergraduate Exercise Physiology lecture and lab sections.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree with 18 graduate credits in the area of teaching.
• Candidates with ACSM certification are preferred.
