KPIX 5 is looking for an Executive Producer to lead evening news across platforms!

Overview and Responsibilities:

The right Executive Producer will do more than copy edit scripts. The person we are looking for will be a leader who is dependable and has a vision of how to reach viewers in a challenging marketplace. This person will report to the VP/News Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

• Making decisions on coverage and show rundowns.
• Supervising evening field crews and in-house anchors.
• Copy editing scripts from producers and reporters.
• Managing and building plan to achieve streaming goals set by upper management.
• Working collaboratively with others on management team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven success in a leadership role.
• Ability to train and guide editorial team.
• Ability to work under extremely tight deadlines and manage expectations for streaming service.
• Thorough knowledge of social media and the competitive digital news environment.
• Familiarity with iNews and non-linear editing.
• Available for early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, holidays.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $155,000.00 - 165,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
