Job Description

The LHH is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator (EHS Coordinator) for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in the Lafayette, IN Area. This is an opportunity to join an established EHS Department which a strong commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all employees. You will serve as part of a team as you serve as a safety champion, lead trainings, ensure OSHA compliance, and more. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $70-75K per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct safety training and audits.
• Implement safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the safety manager to uplift the safety knowledge within the company.
• Conduct PPE assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near misses.
• Manage and develop safety programs.
• Conduct needs analyses and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain safety manuals and codes.
• Monitor and report safety performance.
• Facilitate safety meetings and discussions.
• Provide safety-related training to employees.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for environmental compliance.
• Ensure timely submission of government environmental reports.
• Liaise with governmental inspectors and regulators.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environmental Science is preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience within the manufacturing industry is required
• Must have experience with OSHA regulations
• Must have the ability to conduct safety training and audits
• Ideal candidates will have experience with incident and near miss investigations.
• Ideal candidates will have the ability to manage and develop safety programs.
• Preferred candidates should possess strong communication skills.
• Preferred candidates should have experience with risk assessments.
