We are seeking a motivated Construction Intern to join our team located in Liverpool NY and help drive the success of our field projects. Our dynamic internship program, running from June to August, offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in construction project.
As a Construction Intern, you will work side by side with project engineers and site superintendents, supporting day-to-day construction activities, cost management, and scheduling. This internship offers invaluable practical experience in field management and project delivery within the construction industry.
Compensation
$20.00 per Hour
Main Responsibilities
Collaborate with project engineers and site superintendents to efficiently manage construction costs and schedules on-site.
Assist in the coordination and supervision of daily field operations, ensuring smooth communication between workers and management.
Support project teams in monitoring project progress, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing corrective actions.
Participate in tracking construction materials, labor productivity, and schedule adherence to optimize project execution.
Work closely with project managers to help maintain quality standards and safety compliance on site.
Contribute to data collection and reporting for continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery.
Skills
Strong interest or background in Construction Project Management or related disciplines.
Good understanding of construction site operations and field management practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and time management.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
Education
Physical Requirements
Valid driver’s license required.
Availability to travel to and work on construction sites regularly.
