Commercial Electrician – Baton Rouge, LA

Evaluation Hire

$24-28/hr Based on Experience 

Mon-Fri 6 AM - 2 PM

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring a Commercial Electrician  for a local Electrical Contracting company in  Baton Rouge, LA . Environments that work will be done in include, hotels, warehouses, schools, and doctor’s offices. This position will not be dealing with any live wire while working on a contract basis. If hired by the company after the contract is completed workers may have to deal with live wire.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Commercial Electrician:

• Electrical rough-in and Electrical trim-out.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
• MC Cable Installation.
• Running conduit, installing lighting fixtures, and wiring outlets and switches
• Installing outlet Boxes and pipes.
• Maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and components.
• Must be able to assemble, install, and repair.
• Must be available for training when needed.
• Other duties may be required. 
• Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Following electrical codes and regulations

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS for Commercial Electrician :

• 1-2 years of experience as a Commercial Electrician.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school preferred.
• Valid electrician''s license/certification as required by state regulations preferred.
• Must have common hand tools. Power tools are not needed and will be provided on the job site.
• Workers must have proper clothing needed for electrical work. 
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
