Job Description

Position Purpose

Responsible for the daily operation of the physician practice. Working knowledge of patient check-in, and check-out, billing entry, scheduling and practice management program. Trains and evaluates team members on job performance and competencies. Works with the central business office to track collections and registration accuracy as well as other reports as necessary. Makes recommendations for improvement based upon evaluation of data. Prepares workflow schedule for team members based upon practice/patient/customer needs. Fills in for vacations or sick calls as appropriate. Tracks team member attendance and reports to Human Resources as directed by Manager/Director. Responsible for inputting team member payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Conducts monthly department meetings with team members. Issues corrective action, when necessary with input from Manager and/or Director. Gives input to budget based upon the individual practice needs and reports all recommendations to the Department Manager/Director. Responsible to interview, hire and terminate team members with input from the Manager/Director for their specific area.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of a high school or equivalent required.

Certifications/Experience:

• 3 years of experience in physician office or outpatient facility
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
