Job Summary/Basic Function:

Responsible for the development, maintenance and oversight of the prospect research program within the Development Office of University Advancement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Demonstrated experience with database management and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two to three (2-3) years experience in philanthropy in higher education fundraising or a non-profit environment or related entity.
  • Two to three (2-3) years experience in prospect research/management.
  • Two to three (2-3) years knowledge of computer database systems (Banner preferred) and software packages (Hyperion, LexisNexis, Wealth Engine preferred), especially in a Windows environment (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for personal computers, computer logic concepts and on-line systems.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of electronic database search experience.

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Understanding of written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to sit for long lengths of time.
  • Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 10 pounds.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
