About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO) to serve as a key leader in the oversight of the school's daily administrative operations, with a primary focus on budget and fiscal health. The CFAO will work closely with the Dean, associate deans, and senior leadership to ensure that business operations align with the academic vision, mission, and goals of the school. This strategic role involves managing a range of infrastructure functions, including budget, finance, research finance, business intelligence, human resources, facilities, and IT. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing complex financial modeling, managing the school's annual budget proposal, and advising on risk management. Additionally, the CFAO will be expected to have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Applicants for the CFAO position at the company should have a Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 10 years' of experience in leading teams, financial management, and budget preparation, particularly in the context of higher education, is required. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record of supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to provide leadership in these areas. Responsibilities also include mentoring and coaching managerial staff, as well as representing the school on various campus committees. The CFAO will be expected to be adept at operations management, including overseeing internal controls, business continuity planning, and emergency management protocols. The position is pivotal in maintaining the ethical stewardship of the school's resources and in ensuring that the administrative infrastructure effectively supports the academic mission.
