Position Summary:
The Campus Recruiting Coordinator is a visible resource to Cornell Tech Master's students in technical and the MBA program. This role will be an integral part of the team with the focus on developing and delivering effective and efficient operations of the Career Management Team.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Career Management at Cornell Tech The Career Management Team at Cornell Tech supports Master's students and alumni (career guidance).
This is a full-time position with excellent Cornell University benefits. It is expected that this position will be primarily working in-person on the Cornell Tech campus in New York City with some flexibility for a hybrid remote work schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Bachelor's degree and 2- 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Excel
Demonstrated initiative, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
Deep commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast-paced environment are required.
Available occasionally for student events outside of business hours.
Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Operations (50%)
Participate in developing, planning and executing allcareer programming for the population in scope (e.g., events, office visits, interviews, etc.)
Create and distribute large scale student, alumni and employer communications in collaboration with the External Relations team, when applicable
Strategically collaborate with other Cornell Tech teams to create an academic roadmap to ensure alignment on event schedules and employer contact information.
Collaborate with Cornell University teams in Ithaca (where appropriate) on employer engagement, outreach, visits, etc.
Become an expert user of the career management platform and other necessary software that is used.
Enhance and maintain a career management platform including job and events posting, update group membership, employer platform interaction and student participation.
Collaborate with career management platform vendor on system continuous improvements.
Manage the database of employer contacts and coordinate with other relevant teams at Cornell Tech and Cornell University.
Review and update internal and career sites design, using stakeholder feedback to better meet client needs.
Research, recommend and support implementation of new technology for management of Career Services tasks.
Independently develop content for web pages related to Cornell Tech Career Services.
Employer and Alumni support (25%)
Establish new employer relationships and maintain existing ones using Airtable.
Consult with employers on successful strategies for identifying and recruiting talent from Cornell Tech.
Review employers recruiting efforts from prior years and provide recommendations on future strategy and best practices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employers for all on-campus events; liaise with facilities and other stakeholders on event execution; troubleshoot any issues.
Manage the alumni mock interview program for current students as well as conducting mock interviews.
Develop periodic alumni career focused communications to ensure alumni have access to resources.
Represent Cornell Tech at various events such as job fairs, company visits, etc.
Student support (10%)
Develop and share career management materials for student presentations.
Serve as the first point of contact for student questions; elevate complex questions to appropriate team members as necessary.
Analytics and reporting (10%)
Design and execute employer and alumni surveys and analyze data, making adjustments as needed.
Manage collection of placement data by designing and conducting employment surveys.
Support data analysis and reporting of student career outcomes recommending appropriate action.
Manage data integration among internal platforms to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
Other position-related responsibilities (5%)
Participate in projects or other duties as assigned with occasional work responsibility falling above or below current classification.
Completion of any university required compliance trainings.
Familiarize yourself with Cornell's COVID-19 workplace guidance as well as the university's COVID-19 services and information.
