Assistant Professor of Practice
Department of Chemistry
St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, specialized faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Chemistry, beginning August 2025. At St. Edward's University, specialized faculty are not tenure eligible but receive renewable contracts and have opportunities for promotion-in this case, to associate/full professor of practice. St. Edward's is characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission to educate the hearts and minds of a diverse student body that is deeply committed to social justice.
The successful candidate will foster student success in teaching lower-division chemistry courses, with the potential of coordinating General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry laboratory courses.

For consideration, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related area. Candidates should have demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and a commitment to pedagogical innovation and implementing active learning in their courses. Prior teaching and curriculum design experience is encouraged.
