Department Information The Department of Art & Creative Media offers rigorous experience-based instruction in the practices of studio art, creative media, art history, and art education. Description of Job The Department of Art & Creative Media is soliciting applications for adjunct faculty to teach ARH 211 Global Art I (introductory art history from prehistory to c. 1300) and ART 100 Visual Dynamics (introductory art appreciation and visual culture) in Fall 2024 with opportunities to continue teaching the same and other courses in subsequent semesters. Courses in Fall 2024 semester are scheduled as synchronous online. Candidates may teach in-person or online in future semesters depending on their preferences. **All responsibilities of faculty members at CSU Pueblo are in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. The Faculty Handbook is the authoritative guide on specific requirements with regard to teaching assignments, scholarly activity, research, and service.
Specific duties include: - preparing and presenting course materials according to department curricular needs;
- administering appropriate assessments of student performance;
- holding office hours (online or in-person);
- assigning final grades.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Minimum Qualifications - Master's degree in Art History or closely related field.
- Experience teaching as instructor of record at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications - PhD in Art History.
- Prior experience teaching online.
Compensation $3,000 per 3-credit course
