The Operations Management division provides business consulting, staff augmentation, and administrative support services to help businesses and government agencies thrive. The Accounting Services division provides bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, audit, tax, and other financial services to commercial businesses and Federal and State Government contractors. Position Overview :

The hands-on Accountant will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting activities. This position requires an initiative-taking individual who can effectively partner with management and is detailed orientated who understands the full-life cycle of accounting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Daily accounts payable, accounts receivable/monthly invoicing

• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of daily transactions. Account reconciliations.

• Responsible for calculating GSA/IFF fee calculations.

• Posting journal entries to balance sheet and income statement based upon predetermined methods and routines.

• Update balance sheet accounts, including weekly and monthly reconciliations.

• Conduct daily posting and/or downloads for bank accounts/credit cards, as required.

• Process payroll and ensure that payroll is submitted on time.

• Review and process monthly and/or quarterly sales and use tax, as required.

• Reconcile quarterly payroll filings with the general ledger.

• Review and manage month end close process.

• Responsible for incurred cost submissions and indirect rate calculations.

• This individual will need to write and update standard operation procedures (SOP’s)

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

· 6+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on full-life cycle of accounting.

· Government contracting experience is preferred.

· Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards/laws regulations.

· Experience using various software: PROCAS, Deltek, or similar software.

· Experience using various payroll systems: Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar software.

· Experience utilizing the following invoicing platforms: PIEE, IPP, GSA or similar platforms.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Excellent customer service skills.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information.

· Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.

· The ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities. Great organizational skills. Attention to detail is a must.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Prefer advanced knowledge of Excel.
