Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Winery Cellar Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wine production, possess a strong work ethic, and thrive in an exciting, fast-paced environment. As a key member of our cellar team, you will play a vital role in assisting with various aspects of winemaking and cellar operations.
Responsibilities:
•Assist with grape receiving, sorting, and crushing during harvest season
•Perform routine cellar tasks such as racking, pumping, and transferring wine
•Monitor and maintain cellar equipment and facilities
•Assist winemakers with cellar operations, including fermentation management and barrel work
•Conduct wine sampling and analysis as needed
•Participate in sanitation and cleanliness protocols to ensure wine quality and safety standards are met
•Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain workflow efficiency
•Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
•Previous experience in a winery or cellar environment preferred
•Knowledge of winemaking processes and techniques is a plus
•Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and overtime during peak seasons
•Must be 21 years of age or older
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
