A top-rated residential exteriors company is seeking an experienced Windows Production Department Head to lead all field operations related specifically to window installation projects in the Appleton and Greater Green Bay market.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused exclusively on windows production , overseeing field execution, quality, scheduling, and team performance. This position does not manage roofing, siding, gutters, or other exterior divisions.

Location: Appleton, WI office with on-site field supervision required
(Service territory within approximately a 45-mile radius)

Compensation:​ $90,000–$95,000+ total annual earnings expected
(Base salary of $70,000–$75,000 plus production bonuses and performance-based commissions)

Windows Production Department Head Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all windows field operations on a daily basis
• Supervise and support Field Managers assigned to window installation projects
• Assign Field Managers to jobs and manage workflow, scheduling, and coverage
• Ensure accurate documentation of job progress, photos, and updates using internal systems
• Monitor quality standards, installation accuracy, and customer satisfaction
• Serve as a point of escalation for field or customer-related issues
• Ensure compliance with department SOPs and company standards
• Provide regular production updates to Sales Leadership and the Director of Production
• Assist Field Managers with job-site challenges as needed
• Maintain strong coordination between sales, production, and field teams
• Reports to: Director of Production / Production Manager

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in window measurement, ordering, and installation
• Previous experience as a Window Installer, Installation Manager, Site Manager, Foreman, Superintendent, or similar role
• Proven experience managing or leading windows installation teams
• Strong understanding of window materials, ordering processes, and installation timelines
• Proficiency with Excel and general computer systems
• Comfortable documenting project updates and photos using AccuLynx or similar platforms
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs as needed
• Willingness to travel to local job sites (within approximately 45 miles)
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Professional, dependable, and customer-focused approach
• Clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
