About Capitol: Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho. Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a specific and/or multiple areas of our warehouse. This position ensures that distribution operations remain a smooth and efficient process by leading employees and organizing workflows. + Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees. + Assist and report to Operations Managers/Superintendents as needed. + Assist leads and Fulfillment crew members. This includes stepping in to help with operator duties as needed. + Ensures technology equipment and supplies are maintained, charged and ready each day. + Balance labor between departments and areas. + Authority to make changes to daily schedule of breaks. + Strong understanding of all technologies, equipment, and systems used. + Assist with troubleshooting, quick fix, or reporting of equipment failures. + Give training and mentorship to Leads. + Ensures policies and procedures are adhered to, with a focus on safety. + Conducts formal and informal trainings for staff. + Monitor Key metrics such as production and error rates. + First point-of-contact for employees regarding general questions and scheduling. + Coordinate daily labor schedule changes, answer employee call-ins, review/approve PTO requests, etc. + Assist in conducting Performance Reviews. + Addresses and monitors recurring disciplinary issues with employees. + Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: This role is very fast-paced and requires a significant amount of movement to meet Fulfillment demands. Individuals in this position should expect to move throughout modules stocked with product. The position will require general physical movements such as walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50lbs, and reaching. Individuals will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies. Schedule: C apitol Distributing is a 24/7 warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor will be a full-time employee assigned to a consistent schedule to meet business needs. This schedule can include days, swing, nights, and weekends. Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field a plus. + 1+ years of experience working in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing. + 1+ years of leading employees, enforcing expectations, and assigning goals/objectives. + Ability to work in a warehouse including hot, cold, elevated, and fast-paced environments. + Experience working with operational software and Microsoft office suite. + Ability to strongly communicate (verbal & written) to employees . + Experience in managing schedules, timecards, and records. + Ability to be organized and delegate efficiently. + Ability to operate company equipment such as a forklift, baler, conveyers, compactors. + Ability to lift to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend/twist, and be on your feet most of the day. + Ability to stand for 10-14 hours at a time. + Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
