This position is responsible for all general warehouse functions including loading, receiving, put-away, stocking and selection of product and/or order packing when qualified and as needed. All functions with the exception of loading require specific equipment or process certification. Duties include handling product to minimize damage during loading, receiving, put-away, stocking, selecting, and order packing processes; inspecting trailer cleanliness; accurately recording product delivered; operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, standup order selector and reach trucks safely; maintaining equipment; ensuring packages meet warehouse standards; communicating any damage found or caused; working effectively with supervisors to prevent product loss; cross-training in other warehouse functions; maintaining neatness and cleanliness of work area; reporting unsafe issues; observing safety rules and proper lifting techniques; using warehouse computers and RF equipment; complying with company policies and applicable laws and regulations; and performing other warehouse duties as assigned. The role requires certification on material handling equipment or the ability to become certified, ability to pass a post-offer functional capacity test, and preferred high school diploma or GED with warehouse experience or equivalent. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and lifting up to 55 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. The work environment is a warehouse with exposure to moving equipment, variable temperatures, vehicle emissions, and loud noise levels. Work hours may vary including shift work, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. No travel is required.
