Supports Domestic Violence Victims of Crime by assessing their needs, stabilizing their lives post-crime, navigating the criminal justice system, and ensuring safety and security through trauma-informed, culturally sensitive crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy. This role is grant-funded, with current funding secured until 12/31/2024. Future funding is contingent upon grant renewal.

Qualifications/Licensure:

• Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)
• EHR- Electronic Health Record (Required)
• Employees are responsible for maintaining individual certifications as required by job function or by law and provide verification and recertification when requested by management.
  • 40 Hour Domestic Violence Certification Training must be completed within 60 days of hire date
• Maintains personal appearance when interacting with patients, staff and physicians.
• Must be able to cope in a “fast pace” environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a caseload of Domestic Violence Victims of Crime to assess their needs and develop comprehensive stabilization plans.
• Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, counseling, and support services to empower clients in their recovery journey.
• Navigate clients through the criminal justice system, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
• Advocate for clients' safety and security through culturally sensitive practices and interventions.
• Collaborate with community resources and partner agencies to enhance support and services for clients.
• Attends meetings as required for updates and as directed by supervisor.
• Completes reporting related to client care

• Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, counseling, and support services to empower clients in their recovery journey.
• Navigate clients through the criminal justice system, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
• Advocate for clients' safety and security through culturally sensitive practices and interventions.
• Collaborate with community resources and partner agencies to enhance support and services for clients.
• Look for housing options for survivors.
