User Researcher Coordinator

W2 Contract to Possible Hire

Onsite, Richardson, TX

$26.50-28.50/hr

We are a world-class video game studio looking for an entry level User Research Coordinator to join our team. A user research coordinator facilitates screening and scheduling of our study participants and assists the User Research Team with participant interactions onsite during research studies.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, screen, and schedule participants for user research studies (in person and remotely) under the guidance of the Researchers on a project
• Communicate with participants throughout the pre and post research process including screening, scheduling, sending reminders, and follow-up communications about their participation
• Assist the research team with observation notes and participant interactions in the research lab
• Propagate builds to the lab and troubleshoot game issues and hardware issues during research studies
• Compile research deliverables (video capture, notes, etc.) from the Researchers to be delivered stakeholder
• Support and maintain the participant panel used by the research team

Qualifications:

• Developing knowledge of user research (usability, interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry, etc.) or other research for video games or related media
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be able to work quickly and independently, and adjust processes based on feedback from researchers and stakeholders
• Good organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
• General knowledge of popular computer and video games and game culture are required
• Experience using survey tools such as Alchemer, SurveyMonkey, Datstat, Qualtrics, etc.
• Familiarity with Jira, Hansoft, or other task tracking and project management software
