UI/UX Designer/Art Director Contractor (remote)

Pay Rate: $45.00 - $55.00per hr

Job Description:
Our client is looking for a mid-level, conversion-focused Contract Art Director/Designer who can collaborate with copywriters and Marketing and Product partners to create fresh, effective designs across a variety of projects, including user experience flows, web pages for clients' U.S. and international markets, CRO, testing, growth, onboarding, and more.

In this role you will take responsibility for the quality of any artwork assigned, ensuring that it follows brand and visual guidelines, achieves creative excellence, and addresses the key objectives of each project. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of marketing and testing partners to better understand our customers and develop smart marketing and testing strategies with a special emphasis on turning complex information/concepts into easy-to-understand user experiences for varied target audiences.

Key Responsibilities/Performance Requirements:

• Working with the team to understand each project's goals and developing visual language and expressions that align with testing strategies and achieve the desired results.
• Identifying inconsistencies and room for improvement in current or outdated site designs.
• Updating websites to include new products, improvements to current functionality, offers, new user flows, introduction to products, and instructions for interacting with various product features.
• Working closely with a team of researchers, developers, analysts, and product and marketing experts to translate marketing, testing, and conversion strategies into sophisticated creative solutions.
• Gaining a deep understanding of the motivations and behaviors of our target audience(s), to increase the relevance and effectiveness of your ideas.
• Diplomatically defending your work and area of expertise while maintaining positive relationships with partners in the organization.
• Thriving in a deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Building positive and effective internal and external relationships.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of professional Website UI/UX design or art direction experience, preferably in advertising
• Expertise in website design updates to include new products, improvements to current functionality, offers, new user flows, introduction to products, and instructions for interacting with various product features etc.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of high-quality work
• Excellent typography, layout, and conceptual skills
• Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Photoshop etc.
• Expertise in Digital Design
• Understanding of user flow experience

Bonus/Soft Skills:

• CRM Campaigns, Email Campaigns, Performance Banners
• Experience with testing and conversion-related creative and direct-response marketing
• Strong interpersonal communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in fine art, advertising, graphic design, or similar discipline
