Core Purpose
The Relationship Manager serves as the primary contact for clients and is responsible for delivering TTC’s client promise and building strong individual, family, and company relationships. While demonstrating a thorough knowledge of services, this position will also focus on achieving performance standards, maintaining a culture of outstanding service, and developing new business across The Trust Company of Tennessee.

Responsibilities
▪ Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
▪ Maintains positive client relationships by meeting with clients regularly (annually, semi-annually, monthly, etc.) to review accounts, discuss personal/life changes, and update and discuss client holdings and IPS.
▪ Provides superior client services by providing follow-up documentation and responses to clients and associated professionals – including all meeting summary letters and correspondence.
▪ Utilizes TTC sponsored events to engage with prospects, clients, and high-level COIs to enhance current relationships and uncover new relationship opportunities.
▪ Prospects new business by building strong relationships with clients and centers of influence.
▪ Develops and maintains a deep understanding of current investment and asset allocation options.
▪ Effectively communicates TTC’s Investment Philosophy and Processes with clients, COIs, and prospects.
▪ Upholds fiduciary standards when serving TTC clients.
▪ Responds promptly to client communication and requests.
▪ Delivers proactive client management based on client goals and objectives.
▪ Reviews investments and capital markets with clients.
▪ May review and interpret trust agreements, wills, contracts, and other estate planning documents to limit regulatory and legal risk.
▪ Schedules prospecting activities on a weekly basis.
▪ Continuously develops skills by attending business development trainings.
▪ Collaborates with other relationship managers, operations specialists, and customer service representatives to provide an outstanding client experience.
▪ Within established parameters, provides guidance to Retirement Plan Services clients on plan administration.
▪ Within established parameters, provides guidance to Personal Trust clients on trust administration.
▪ Within established parameters, provides guidance to Wealth Management clients concerning additions and distributions. This would include tax consequences.
▪ Possesses, maintains, and develops industry-specific technical knowledge.


Qualifications
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
▪ Three to five years of experience in relationship and investment management (specific to line of business: Retirement Plans, Personal Trust, Wealth Management)
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills
▪ Ability to work with a wide range of client personalities and demographics
▪ Experience with High Net Worth clients a plus
▪ Organized and detail-oriented
▪ Must be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple deadlines
▪ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
