Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Trust Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the administration of trust accounts, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with fiduciary standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in trust administration, financial planning, and asset management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trust Administration: Manage and oversee a portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring proper administration and compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and advisors, providing expert guidance on trust matters.
  • Investment Oversight: Collaborate with investment professionals to monitor and manage trust assets according to fiduciary standards and client objectives.
  • Estate & Wealth Planning: Work closely with estate planners, attorneys, and tax professionals to develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies for clients.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all trust activities adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks related to trust administration, including tax implications and legal considerations.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to grow the trust department by developing relationships with new and existing clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (J.D. or CFP preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trust administration, estate planning, or wealth management.
  • Strong knowledge of fiduciary laws, trust structures, and estate planning strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial documents and develop tailored trust solutions.
  • Professional certifications such as CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor) are a plus.
