Job Description
State Nebraska Bank & Trust is seeking a client-focused individual to join our team as a Trust Officer. Duties will include gathering, managing, and administering trust accounts, estates, and related fiduciary responsibilities for individual clients. This role involves developing and maintaining a portfolio of client relationships, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing expert advice on trust and estate matters.

This position is located at our Main Branch location, with occasional short-range travel to meet clients, for training/conferences, or to attend legal proceedings. The hours will mostly consist of working 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours based on client needs or deadlines.
The successful candidate should understand trust and estate regulations, financial markets, and investment strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are a must, along with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master’s degree, law degree, or a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation is beneficial. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trust, banking, or a financial field is highly desirable. Candidates with previous experience as a trust officer or in a fiduciary role will be given priority. Candidates must reside or relocate within 15 miles of Wayne, Nebraska.
