Position Summary
The triage /pre-op will be responsible for routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepping patient visit charts for the next day
Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean
Collect laboratory specimens, log the specimens
Provider presentation on patients that they are about to examine
Secure patient information and maintains patient confidence by safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential
Provide a safe way to get patients from intake to the patient exam room
Helping patients with getting fit with a back brace when prescribed
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
High School Diploma/GED
No Prior Experience Required
Current Licensed Practical Nurse license or in-progress is highly preferred
Possess an ability to function in a high stress, physically demanding setting
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)
Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision and arm-hand steadiness accurately
Ability to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentiality
Must be willing to travel as needed
