\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts in day/night/weekend/holiday rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• 36 hours per week guaranteed
\n• One year acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse required
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
\n• NYS RN licensure required
\n• 2 years emergency department experience required
\n• Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care
\n• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities
\n• Perform triage using ESI standards and assign priority of care for patients of all age groups
\n• Conduct primary and secondary assessments within acceptable time frames
\n• Utilize various invasive and non-invasive procedures and therapeutic interventions
\n• Manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations
\n• Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and families
\n• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments
\n• Provide patient education and discharge instructions
\n• Maintain patient communication boards throughout ED stay
\n• Document and report any suspicion of domestic violence or abuse
