Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in a procedural unit supporting Cardiac Cath, EP, and IR, requiring a NY RN license and strong procedural skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a mixed procedural unit supporting Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR) in a hospital setting
• Unit features a shared prep and recovery area serving adult patients
• Average daily census is 7 with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio during the day shift
• Three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with no weekends or on-call required
• Floating required to Cath Prep and Recovery
• Uses Omnicell for medication management and Epic for documentation
• Patient population includes adults with cancer, GI bleeds, AKI, CKD, and liver disease
• Orientation provided for 11.5 hours
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exceptions
• Scrubs are provided
• No restrictions for local candidates; local and travel rates are the same
• Return travelers must have been gone at least one year to be eligible
• Maximum RTO is 5 days, and no RTO allowed in the first two weeks
• Parking is available free of charge in the employee garage

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with experience working 1:4 ratios
• Procedural sedation administration, IV therapy, and hemostasis experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Experience in teaching hospital and prior charge nurse experience preferred
