Telecommunications Installer DC (Level IV)

KMM Telecommunications is looking for a motivated and skilled Low Voltage/DC Technician to join our Team of Telecommunications Professionals in the Salt Lake City market, with travel to surrounding areas. Qualified candidates will have 6 or more years of low voltage/DC/battery installation experience, a valid driver license, and the willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and configure low voltage systems on cell sites.
• Conduct testing, routine maintenance and quality assurance checks to verify the proper functioning of systems.
• Ensure all installations meet safety, compliance, and company standards.
• Create and maintain detailed records of all installations, as-built drawings, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working.
• Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
• Travel to various locations

Job Requirements:

• 6 years of experience in the low-voltage industry/DC Equipment Installation
• Must have experience installing PDF's and -48V Battery systems
• Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
• Frequently pushing or pulling cables up to 60 lbs.
• Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
• Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
• Continuous standing
• Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
• Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
• Frequently crouching or squatting
• Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior field engineering experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship
• AC Electrical experience
