Job Description
You will work with Small and Mid-Sized Companies in various industries, individuals including Business Owners, Professionals and Investors. As a future team member, you will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges.
• Review and prepare tax returns for Individuals, S and C Corporations, and other entities
• Review and prepare amended returns
• Prepare and review Quarterly and Annual Payroll tax returns
• Prepare Tax Projections
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information for financial statements and tax return completion
• Prepare accurate workpapers
• Conduct tax research for unusual situations
• Prepare journal entries for year-end close, including bank reconciliation(s)
• Analyze current and prior year General Ledgers
• Communicate with clients and team as needed
• Utilize QuickBooks
To be considered for this position, you will need:
• 3+ years of current tax preparation experience of Individuals, S and C Corporations, and other entities
• CPA or EA designation; earned or in-progress
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets; willingness and ability to work extra hours if necessary during tax season
• UltraTax and SurePrep experience or knowledge is preferred but not necessary
• Energized professional - seeking greater responsibilities and autonomy with clients
• Have the passion and curiosity to look through the financials into the business, to identify potential opportunities for clients
• Engaging and thrive on building relationships internally and externally
• Client first mentality
• Positive, team-oriented mindset
