Our Cert - Surgery Technologists (ORT) positions are critical to the success of St. Joseph's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. The Cert - Surgery Technologists (ORT) has a limited technical background and performs routine Patient Care activities and related non-professional services in the care of sub-acute and acute patients undergoing Surgical Procedures. The ORT works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Knows philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Department and supports these premises. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served.
We are a high volume OR with many specialities including general surgery, urology, ENT, orthospine, gastroenterology, GYN and CVOR utilizing the da Vinci Xi, da Vinci Si and Mako robots.

Job Requirements
Minimum:
Must have a minimum of six months' experience in an acute care Surgery Department and be able to perform as the scrub personnel in all specialties.
Six months experience may substituted if the candidate has completed an ORT externship on-site within the last year. If operational conditions permit, training a candidate without the required experience may be considered, but must be a recent Graduate from an or Tech Program and certified.
OR Tech Certified required
CPR/BLS Certification required

$44.60 - $51.24 /hour
