UI/UX DESIGN INTERN ROLE SUMMARY

As the UI/UX Design Intern, you will be part of the creative studio while working very closely with software development and engineering teams on specific projects. Projects will range from healthcare, museums, sports, and entertainment practices. You will take part in user-centered design methods, including user research, exploration, story-telling, detailed design, journey mapping, and prototyping using Figma.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help communicate concepts through powerful visual storytelling Project presentation layout & design User Experience Design Conceptual design, design detailing, branding packages Gather inspiration & visual vocabulary Keeping up to date with popular culture, trends and industry news Conducting market research Proficiency in - Adobe CS, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, & Acrobat Knowledge of Google Sketchup, After Effects, and/or 3D Max is a plus PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Strong interest in user interface design An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to bring a fun, creative and energetic level of professionalism to the team Exude a "go where needed' attitude and outlook on role Preferred majors: Graphic Design, Industrial Design, UI/UX Design or similar degree

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The UI/UX Design Internship is an hourly (non-exempt), full-time opportunity that runs from June 2nd, 2025 - August 1st, 2025. Applications will close on December 31, 2024. This is an onsite Monday - Friday internship in our Kansas City location. You must be at least 18 years of age, and currently enrolled as a college junior or senior or actively enrolled in a related postgraduate program. Please submit a portfolio with your application. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and hold a valid driver's license.
