SALARY : $15.00 Hourly
OPEN TO ONEIDA ENROLLED TRIBAL MEMBERS ONLY
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 32 HOURS PER WEEK
INTERN DUTIES/PROJECTS - Learn to deliver excellent customer service while handling inbound/outbound calls and emails with the utmost professionalism 50%
- Assist with responding to Contact Us inquires from the Oneida Nation website
- Assist with responding to Call Center inquires with Call Center Coordinator
- Provide accurate information and details to Tribal membership regarding the Oneida General Welfare Assistance Law
- Assist with and participate in the Website Steering Team 20%
- Tasks include meeting preparation and meeting notetaking
- Learn to monitor and assist with Facebook Live segments 10%
- Assist with podcast production 10%
- Assist with other GIS projects 10%
- General Tribal Council (GTC) Prep meetings
- Members Only website
- Community meetings within In Event virtual meeting platform
- Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.

COLLEGE MAJOR - Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management or closely related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT - Frequently walk, sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
- Work is generally performed in an interior setting with a moderate noise level.
- A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS - Ability to learn about the organization, functions, objectives, policies and procedures
- Ability to learn how integrate the Oneida Nation’s history and culture into the workplace
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively verbally, digitally, and in writing.
- Ability to make decisions based on provided guidance
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
- Familiarity with and ability to use basic functions of social media platforms
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
- Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation’s Gaming Division.
