Blue Water Surgery Center is a freestanding outpatient surgical facility dedicated to a broad range of surgical procedures. Our surgeons specialize in orthopedics and spine surgery. We believe in compassionate medicine, where our focus is on each individual patient. Our experienced surgeons have dedicated themselves to caring for patients within the surrounding communities.
We are currently searching for Full-Time Sterile Processing Technicians to work Mondays – Fridays in a busy, fast-paced, ambulatory surgery center. Experience as a surgical scrub tech preferred. You must be able to work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, delivering sterile supplies and retrieving contaminated supplies; cleaning and examining instruments to ensure they are properly cleaned and in working order; preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for sterilization; testing and reporting any issues or problem with sterilizing equipment or instruments; maintaining records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies
You must possess a HS school diploma/GED, have completed a SPD certification, have strong moral and ethical character references, strong communication, customer services skills, basic computer skills, energetic, positive and strong team player, and able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi – task.
